Delux Bearings (Fersa India) has achieved an important milestone in its commitment to quality and manufacturing excellence, becoming the first company in India to obtain a Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) licence for double row ball bearings under the new IS 6456:2026 standard.
The company has also secured BIS certification for cylindrical roller bearings under IS 6457:2026, reinforcing its compliance with Indian quality and safety standards.
Strengthening quality standards in India
BIS certification and the associated ISI mark are recognised indicators of product quality, safety and regulatory compliance in India. For bearing manufacturers, these certifications involve rigorous testing, manufacturing process assessments and ongoing quality controls to ensure compliance with national standards.
Delux Bearings has obtained two licences covering different product categories:
  • Double row ball bearings: IS 6456:2026 – Licence CM/L-7900169620, the first granted in India under this standard.
  • Cylindrical roller bearings: IS 6457:2026 – Licence CM/L-7900169519.
These certifications reinforce the company's commitment to maintaining high manufacturing standards and providing reliable bearing solutions for OEM customers and industrial applications.
